Business Analyst Role at The Home Depot Canada

The Business Analyst will play a key role in advising and assisting in the execution of corporate level forecasting and replenishment strategies. This will involve working closely with the department forecast analysts and replenishment analysts to determine and maintain SAP auto-replenishment system policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Supply Chain principles and SAP, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and support day-to-day issues encountered by the department line analysts
  • Provide SAP user guidance and expertise to the IPR Team
  • Act as a lead Analyst on the team, providing direction on day-to-day support for Replenishment and Forecast Analysts
  • Set corporate level replenishment policies to ensure all areas meet inventory and service level metrics
  • Provide process oversight for various forecasting and replenishment procedures to ensure high quality process outputs
  • Perform complex analytics and deliver recommendations based on sound Supply Chain principles
  • Recommend and assist in the implementation of best practices for the IPR team
  • Maintain the Forecasting & Replenishment systems
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions
  • Represent the IPR group as Subject Matter Experts in Supply Chain initiatives and projects

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of analytical experience with emphasis on inventory management, forecasting, demand management and/or replenishment
  • University or College Degree in business computer sciences
  • SAP knowledge (Retail or Manufacturing) is required
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel and/or MS Access
  • Experience in project management an asset
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to extrapolate pertinent information from various sources (reports and spreadsheets) and analyze data for recommendations
  • Experience with financial analysis and quantitative skills, including ability to produce and review sales analysis (turns, sales, gross margin, etc.) and other analytical techniques to assist in making key forecast and replenishment decisions
  • Excellent communication skills; collaborative with effective interpersonal skills; able to work across departments
  • Strong customer focus with business acumen, problem solving skills and results oriented
  • Self-directed, ability to work with limited supervision
