Self-Checkout Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Self-Checkout Attendant to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Self-Checkout Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a clean and organized self-service area, ensuring a safe and efficient shopping environment for customers.
- Provide education and support to customers on the correct use of self-service options, promoting a seamless shopping experience.
- Upsell and promote company-sponsored programs, such as credit card services and charity initiatives, to enhance customer engagement.
- Monitor customer activity and provide assistance when needed, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Respond to EAS alarms and complete the necessary documentation, demonstrating a commitment to security and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with the Customer Service Manager to address technical issues and maintain a smooth operation of the self-service area.
- Return Scan & Go scanners to their designated location after use, ensuring efficient inventory management.

- A strong commitment to customer service and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
- A high level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of the role.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing situations.
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing role, with a strong understanding of customer service principles.
- Knowledge of self-service technologies and systems, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new processes.
- Basic math skills and accuracy in handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
