Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Maya Heat Transfer Technologies is a leading developer of advanced modeling and simulation software for mechanical engineering. As a strategic development partner for Siemens PLM Software Inc., we author and market a variety of software products for heat transfer, fluid flow and structural simulation, used by customers around the world.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test software products for performance and quality
  • Ensure quality standards are met prior to market release
  • Collaborate with development and quality assurance teams
  • Design and execute systematic product verification testing
  • Write and execute quality assurance test plans
  • Document test results and provide feedback to engineers and product development teams
  • Prepare detailed test reports for internal stakeholders
  • Participate in scrum and QA meetings
  • Design automated tests for progressive software testing
  • Contribute to improving QA processes and methodologies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • Excellent knowledge of CAD software, preferably NX
  • Good grasp of mechanical concepts
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME or ISO drafting standards is an asset
  • Experience with CAD drafting tools for manufactured components
  • Good inter-personal skills, initiative and ability to work in a scrum team
  • Experience with QA and/or script writing is an asset
