Nurse Practitioner

The Registered Nurse (RN)/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) at Southern Health-Santé Sud plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in various settings, including acute, transitional, and home care. As a key member of our team, you will apply the nursing process to support clients in achieving their optimal health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with Southern Health-Santé Sud policies and professional standards.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines to provide best-in-class care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
- Current active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba/College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses and the scope of practice as defined by the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge of Professional Standards of Practice, and Code of Ethics.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative and respectful work environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
