About the Opportunity

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer plays a vital role in the Diagnostic Imaging Department, performing routine and specialized ultrasound procedures to ensure proper application of ultrasound techniques and procedures.

Travel to other sites may be required.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Graduated from an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
  • Sonography Canada certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Comprehension of technical language to review and use manuals and participate in relevant discussions
  • Previous experience is an asset
  • Registration with more than one ultrasound credential is an asset
  • Competencies in other languages, French preferred, are an asset

Hours
  • Long assignment part-time position; 37.5 hours biweekly
  • Approximately 12 months
  • Shift work required, including days, evenings, nights, and weekend and holiday coverage
Compensation and Incentives

$34.24 - $39.96 hourly
