We're seeking a skilled Energy Supply Planning Specialist to join our team of 2,600 employees. As a key member of the Energy Supply and Resource Development group, you'll play a critical role in shaping our energy future.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the execution of daily supply plans to meet core load requirements in a cost-effective manner. This includes mitigating activity and developing strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

As an Energy Supply Planning Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to leverage your analytical mindset to provide expert support to various business units. Your exceptional communication skills will enable you to build effective working relationships with colleagues across the organization.

You'll have the chance to participate in a flexible work program, allowing you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of gas supply resources as defined in the Annual Contracting Plan optimization and mitigation strategies.
  • Nominate and schedule daily quantities on third-party portals and in the Horizon ETRM software.
  • Provide weekend, after-hours, and holiday coverage as part of the midstream on-call rotation.
  • Support the development of the Annual Contracting Plan and other Gas Supply regulatory filings.
  • Provide analytical support to the Energy Support business unit.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, business, economics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of recent and related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Substantial knowledge of the utility industry.
  • Sharp analytical thinking to identify problems, provide solutions, and support various business units.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.
  • Superior strategic and innovative thinking in decision-making for supporting regulatory filings.
