Service Support Specialist

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a skilled Recreational Programs Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Operations division, you will play a vital role in enhancing the resident experience in our Long-Term Care and Retirement homes.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the design and implementation of standardized education and training for roles related to Therapeutic Recreation, Occupational Therapy, and social/activities programming.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to develop policies and standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality assurance standards.
- Utilize adult education methodologies to meet the diverse learning needs of staff and leaders in our homes.
- Provide support for operational decision making related to improving the experience for residents through recreation and social activities.
- Health and/or recreation undergraduate degree required.
- Ability to understand and apply legislative, regulatory, and quality assurance frameworks related to Long-Term Care.
- Excellent people skills in consensus-building, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Membership and active participation in professional organizations an asset.
- Passion for resident and family-centred care, culture change, and service excellence.
