Job Title: Food Service Supervisor - Lead Kitchen Staff

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Namaste India Restaurant and Bar. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they are equipped to provide excellent service to our customers.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet demand.
  • Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights into our kitchen operations.
  • Prepare and submit reports on kitchen performance, highlighting areas for improvement and suggesting solutions.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
