About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman to join our team at Embassy West Senior Living. As a Handyman, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, as well as making adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Housekeeping: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, wash windows, and perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Groundskeeping: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
  • Administrative Support: Balance rent roll, contact contractors for repairs and maintenance, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Customer Service: Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants, and provide excellent customer service to residents and visitors.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Health Benefits: Dental plan, health care plan, paramedical services coverage, and vision care benefits.
  • Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
