Compensation
The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $38,548, based on an hourly wage of $18.44 and 40 hours of work per week.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Post Office Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, selling postal products and services, sorting and distributing mail, and resolving delivery and service issues. You will also be required to work independently and as part of a team, using your problem-solving skills to ensure that customers receive their mail and parcels efficiently and effectively.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in business administration
- Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions
- An understanding of general or post office accounting systems
- Physical fitness to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods of time
- Flexibility to be available for temporary, on-call work
