Job Title: Big Data Developer

Axelon Services Corporation is seeking an experienced Big Data Developer to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying large-scale distributed data processing systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop scalable data processing systems using Python, Kafka, Spark, and Hadoop.
  • Work with our data engineering team to design and implement data pipelines and architectures.
  • Collaborate with our data science team to develop and deploy machine learning models.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our codebase.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on large-scale distributed systems.
  • Strong experience with Python, Kafka, Spark, SQL, Hive, Impala, Hadoop, Splunk, Autosys, and shell scripting.
  • Experience with DevOps tools, including Snow, Build (TeamCity, Jenkins), and UDeploy.
  • Good knowledge of capital markets and data analysis.
  • Experience with Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration, and Cloud.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Experience with UI design, JavaScript, and Angular charting, Graph.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence.
  • Test-driven development, including unit and end-to-end testing.
