Actuarial Lead for North America Liability and Professional Liability Portfolios

The Global Casualty and Fin Pro actuarial team within Swiss Re Corporate Solutions is seeking an experienced actuary to lead the development of portfolio strategy for North America Liability and Professional Liability portfolios.
This role offers a unique blend of technical leadership and business acumen, requiring a deep understanding of (sub)portfolio performance, loss drivers, and trends for each product.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing portfolio strategy, working closely with product owners to drive business growth and mitigate risks.
- Leading the development of Swiss Re's market-leading pricing models, ensuring they are calibrated accurately to reflect the latest experience and trends.
- Collaborating with underwriting leadership to support strategy development and prioritizing execution strategies.
- Leading a team of four actuarial professionals, providing guidance, development, and coaching to ensure their success.
About the Team
We are a team of actuarial and portfolio management experts providing support to Corporate Solutions liability businesses around the world.
We work closely with our business partners to offer portfolio steering support based on data-driven decisions, encouraging team members to take ownership of their portfolios and become product experts.
About You
We are seeking an experienced actuary with a minimum of 10 years of experience, including significant time spent pricing general and/or professional liability products.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- ACAS/FCAS designation
- D&O pricing experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and drive team performance
