Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage BIM models for HVAC duct, piping, and plumbing systems, as well as other mechanical construction areas.
- Identify potential interferences with architectural, structural, and other MEP elements.
- Perform file clean-up, title block, and viewport setup, and compile files for composite coordination, tagging, and dimensioning models/drawings.
- Detail sections of the model.
- Produce details/drawings that meet design criteria, contract requirements, and applicable codes.
- Coordinate mechanical/plumbing models with other trade professionals.
- Occasional travel to job sites may be required.
- Maintain a safe work attitude and promote the safety of others, especially when present at construction sites.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, specifications, construction standards, layouts, and job-specific requirements.
- Understanding and interpretation of architectural and structural details as they affect MEP installations.
- Working knowledge of AutoCad, Revit, NavisWorks, and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
- Familiarization with applicable Plumbing and Mechanical building codes and safety laws.
