Your Opportunity:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care at Alberta Health Services. As a member of the healthcare team, you will utilize your nursing skills and knowledge to provide safe and effective care to patients. Your responsibilities will include observing and monitoring patients, reporting and documenting changes in their physical, mental, and emotional state, and assisting with activities of daily living.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients
- Observe and monitor patients, reporting and documenting changes in their condition
- Assist patients with activities of daily living
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Palliative nursing care experience
- Computer experience
