Job Summary

Mary Mackay is seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to provide care and assistance to elderly and disabled individuals in their homes. This is a temporary position that requires a high level of flexibility and adaptability.

Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility
  • Provide companionship and social interaction to clients, including conversation, reading, and entertainment
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including laundry and meal preparation
  • Assist clients with medication management and administration
  • Monitor and report any changes in client condition or behavior to the supervisor
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and move clients as needed
  • Basic security clearance and criminal record check
Work Environment

The Home Support Worker will work in the client's home, which may be located in a residential area or a rural setting. The work environment will be non-smoking and may require the worker to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
