About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Support Worker to join our team at WithDignity Home Care Services. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Care for Pets: Provide care and attention to clients' pets, ensuring their needs are met and they receive regular exercise and attention.
  • Administer Bedside and Personal Care: Assist clients with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Administer Medications: Safely administer medications to clients as prescribed by their healthcare provider.
  • Assist with Bathing and Personal Hygiene: Assist clients with bathing, showering, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Assist with Exercise and Mobility: Assist clients with regular exercise, such as walking, to maintain their mobility and independence.
  • Change Non-Sterile Dressings: Change non-sterile dressings as needed to promote wound healing and prevent infection.
  • Collect Specimens: Collect specimens for medical testing as required.
  • Feed or Assist with Feeding: Assist clients with feeding, including preparing and serving nutritious meals.
  • Launder Clothing and Household Linens: Launder clothing and household linens to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Perform Light Housekeeping and Cleaning Duties: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Provide Personal Care: Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Work in the client's home, providing care and support in a one-on-one setting.
  • Target Audience: Elderly, persons with a disability.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week.
