Leasing Agent Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Leasing Agent to join our team at a brand-new property in Kelowna, BC. This 6-storey building features residential suites and offers numerous amenities.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate viewings with prospective residents
  • Qualify prospective residents to determine their needs and suitability
  • Tour prospective residents through suites for lease
  • Answer phone calls and provide leasing information
  • Shop competition through phone calls and site market surveys
  • Assist with the composition of newspaper advertisements
  • Compile and update listings of available rental units

Renting & Administration:

  • Prepare and process rental applications
  • Contact credit bureaus and previous landlords to assess credit worthiness
  • Follow up with new residents to ensure satisfaction and determine if they have further needs
  • Follow up with existing residents to ensure work orders have been completed correctly and in a timely manner
  • Utilize a computerized property management system to record transactions and run operating reports

Marketing & Business Development:

  • Maintain a focus on enhancing the customer experience
  • Hold open houses
  • Create and prepare newsletters, flyers, and written summaries of available suites
  • Communicate with prospective residents requiring information
  • Help coordinate resident events
  • Assist the Regional Coordinator of Marketing & Development where required

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with leasing apartments or selling condominiums
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Maintain a professional and presentable appearance at all times
  • Strong command of MS Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Self-starter with high degree of initiative, creativity, and flexibility
