We are seeking a highly skilled UX Designer to join our team in Victoria or Vancouver, working on end-to-end product experiences that meet the evolving needs of customers worldwide.

About the Role
  • This full-time position involves leading the design process from concept to launch, working closely with cross-functional partners to develop innovative solutions.
  • As a UX Designer, you will drive the creation of user-centered design deliverables, including wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs.
  • Your expertise will enable you to communicate effectively with stakeholders, prioritize tasks, and manage projects efficiently.
  • You will also be responsible for championing best practices, processes, and tools within the design team.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Create end-to-end product experiences and features that exceed customer expectations.
  2. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to conceptualize and implement design ideas.
  3. Develop and maintain design frameworks, diagrams, user flows, wireframes, and detailed visual mockups.
  4. Analyze quantitative data, customer feedback, and usability findings to inform design decisions.
  5. Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on design principles and best practices.
  6. Present design concepts and strategies to various audiences, including leadership.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in design, with a strong focus on UX design.
  • A proven track record of delivering successful design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer.
  • An available online portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Experience prototyping using HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Flash, or Axure.
  • A minimum of 2 years of mass-market consumer web/mobile products experience.
  • Able to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with developers.
Benefits

AbeBooks Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits, equity, and opportunities for professional growth.
