Job Title: Building Sciences Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Sciences Engineer to join our team at Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in building science and engineering.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop building envelope systems for retrofit and new construction projects
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Conduct thorough reviews of existing building envelope systems and elements
  • Prepare written condition/evaluation reports
  • Manage and complete engineering design assignments and projects of varying scope and complexity
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to complete complex engineering design projects
  • Apply standard engineering methods and techniques to solve problems
  • Review and approve engineered shop drawings and calculations
  • Conduct field reviews of building envelope related construction
  • Recommend technological improvements to the department
  • Provide guidance and direction to junior engineers and technicians
  • Interface with clients as required
  • Manage and coordinate project tasks and responsibilities
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Building Science
  • Professional experience working on building science restoration projects
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to provide leadership to junior engineers and technicians
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Self-motivating and ability to multi-task while maintaining a strong attention to detail
  • Good oral and written English communication skills
  • Ability to act with business integrity and professionalism
  • Valid Driver's License
