We are seeking a skilled and experienced Building Technician to support our team in the City of Kamloops.
Job SummaryThe Building Technician will be responsible for reviewing building permit applications, answering inquiries related to building and general development proposals, and maintaining departmental policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Screen building permit applications and respond to general inquiries
- Maintain departmental policies and procedures, application forms, and software used for permit reviews and correspondence
- Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders
- Post-secondary diploma in Building Technology
- Minimum one year of experience in a building permitting environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Valid Driver's License
