Job SummaryWe are looking for a seasoned nurse with a strong background in acute psychiatric/inpatient unit care. The ideal candidate will have a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing and a minimum of 20 years of experience in a similar role. You will be responsible for assessing patient care, prioritizing needs, and developing individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient care needs and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver seamless services and programs
- Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to nursing staff
- Participate in patient care conferences, grand rounds, and quality improvement initiatives
- Communicate patient status concerns and unsafe practices to the healthcare team
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
- Minimum 20 years of experience in acute psychiatric/inpatient unit care
- Advanced knowledge of psychiatric and mental health nursing
- Knowledge of Ontario Mental Health Act and PHIPA
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
