Mainline Construction is seeking a skilled Pipeline Technician to join our team. As a key member of our underground construction crew, you will be responsible for preparing and installing underground pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the excavation and preparation of pipeline trenches.
- Install and connect pipes, ensuring proper alignment and grade.
- Verify the quality of pipe bedding and backfilling materials.
- Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and adapt to new techniques and materials.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, as well as heavy construction equipment.
- Participate in the safe handling and lowering of materials into excavations.
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends.
- Knowledge of pipe laying techniques and industry standards.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (Driver's Abstract required).
Mainline Construction is committed to a safe and healthy work environment. We promote a substance testing program and expect all employees to adhere to our safety policies.
This position requires the ability to work in Grande Prairie for the duration of the season.
