**Job Summary**

CMHC is seeking a Senior Specialist, Actuarial Services, to support the development and implementation of a flood reinsurance program.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement the corporate actuarial function of the new flood reinsurance entity.
  • Develop policies and guidelines for the valuation of actuarial liabilities, capital reporting & management.
  • Assess resource needs, including data and software requirements.
  • Develop and implement financial statement models.
  • Perform core valuation and financial analyses.
  • Provide financial advice and technical leadership.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline and seven years of experience in reserving and financial modelling.
  • Professional designation (Associate or Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries).
  • Understanding of P&C actuarial valuation methodologies, mathematical finance methodologies, IFRS 17, ORSA, MCT, capital management, pricing, or risk management.
