We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Professional to lead our team and drive growth in our Sunshine Coast office. This Managerial Position in Finance requires a career-focused individual who is excited to join a growth-oriented entrepreneurial firm.

The successful candidate will report to the Partners and be responsible for managing and reviewing NTR review and tax engagements independently and effectively. They will also be responsible for delivering complete products to the Partner on a timely basis and demonstrating an understanding of clients' industry, marketplace, business trends, and technical and industry developments.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing and reviewing NTR review and tax engagements independently and effectively.
  • Delivering complete products to the Partner on a timely basis.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of clients' industry, marketplace, business trends, and technical and industry developments.
  • Progressing the management of engagement teams and providing recommendations as required.
  • Delegating tasks to all levels of staff and providing guidance and training for staff members to enhance their career development within the firm.
  • Fostering positive working relationships with client personnel and coworkers.
  • Responsible for managing client relationships, winning new work, and managing the quality of work completed.
  • Responsible for managing client portfolios.
  • Mentoring and coaching senior and staff accountants.

What You Will Bring

  • CPA designation with 4 years of relevant public practice experience.
  • Sound knowledge of the CPA Canada Handbook review procedures and tax compliance.
  • Prior experience in the industries our firm currently supports is considered an asset.
  • Excellent project management, time management, and leadership skills.
  • An innovative thinker comfortable in a team and client-focused environment.
  • Self-starter able to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal, technical, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
  • Problem solver with solid analytical skills.
  • Experience in CaseWare/Caseview and TaxPrep is an asset.
  • Experience in a paperless environment is considered an asset.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines.
