About the Role:
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a full-time Medical Oncology Specialist to join our team at Vancouver General Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced medical oncologist to contribute to the provision of high-quality patient care and participate in academic productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directing care and surgical management of patients with pre-malignant and malignant disease
- Developing multidisciplinary management plans and performing surgery on appropriate candidates
- Participating in regular multidisciplinary tumor conferences
- Training and supervision of medical students, general surgery residents, and surgical oncology fellows
Requirements:
- Completed a residency program in general surgery and fellowship in surgical oncology
- Eligible for licensure in the province of British Columbia
- Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) membership
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership
- Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification desired
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification desired
