Senior Mechanical Engineer

MTS Recruiting is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our client's leadership team in Mississauga. As a key member of the team, you will provide engineering support to Operations, Production, Marketing, Sales, and clients, driving company objectives through innovative product design and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of new products and parts, as well as the upgrade of existing products and parts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product lifecycle management.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including mechanical drafting and design.
  • Provide technical support to other departments and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage projects from concept to launch, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of mechanical engineering/design experience, preferably in the furniture industry.
  • Excellent SolidWorks and AutoCAD skills, with knowledge of GD&T and industrial design principles.
  • Strong organizational and project planning/management skills, with ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
