Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Merchandise Planner to join our team as a Manager, Merchandise Planning. This role will play a key part in driving sales growth and profitability through strategic planning, analysis, and execution. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in merchandise planning, excellent analytical skills, and strong leadership abilities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute long-term and seasonal merchandise plans that align with the company's overall strategy and drive sales growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the planning process.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to inform merchandise planning decisions.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and product trends to optimize merchandise plans and drive business results.
  • Lead a high-performing team of merchandise planners to achieve sales and profitability targets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including designers, suppliers, and logistics teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to merchandise planning and inventory management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in merchandise planning or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and other business software applications.

Salary

$104,000 - $130,000 per year
