Modern Niagara is seeking an experienced Interim HSE Regional Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting our HSE Team through mentorship, coaching, and encouragement.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and professional development to the regional HSE team, measuring performance based on key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with operations to identify and determine HSE regional objectives and goals.
- Implement and maintain the HSEMS (Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System) within the region.
- Establish a process to monitor, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of the HSEMS within the region.
- Ensure effective and relevant HSE communication to all internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the training program within the region to ensure competency and awareness.
- Leadership engagement to influence commitment from all MN management to comply with all HSE requirements.
- Partner with operations on HSE messaging and communications strategy.
- Review the completion and quality of all HSE submitted documents and provide constructive feedback to encourage continuous improvement.
- Attend all HSE applicable meetings.
- Support operations and Senior Leadership in managing risk by analyzing and interpreting data to identify opportunities for improvement, enhancing safe work procedures, and analyzing HSE training needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environment Science, or a related field.
- Proven track record of leading HSE teams or programs.
- Ability to oversee HSE programs and initiatives.
- Comprehensive understanding of industry-specific safety regulations and standards.
- Experience with safety audits, inspections, and risk management.
- Proficiency in HSE management software.
- Experience developing and delivering HSE training programs.
- Strong attention to detail and leadership capabilities with high ethical standards.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
