About the Role

Modern Niagara is seeking an experienced Interim HSE Regional Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting our HSE Team through mentorship, coaching, and encouragement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and professional development to the regional HSE team, measuring performance based on key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with operations to identify and determine HSE regional objectives and goals.
  • Implement and maintain the HSEMS (Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System) within the region.
  • Establish a process to monitor, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of the HSEMS within the region.
  • Ensure effective and relevant HSE communication to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the training program within the region to ensure competency and awareness.
  • Leadership engagement to influence commitment from all MN management to comply with all HSE requirements.
  • Partner with operations on HSE messaging and communications strategy.
  • Review the completion and quality of all HSE submitted documents and provide constructive feedback to encourage continuous improvement.
  • Attend all HSE applicable meetings.
  • Support operations and Senior Leadership in managing risk by analyzing and interpreting data to identify opportunities for improvement, enhancing safe work procedures, and analyzing HSE training needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environment Science, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of leading HSE teams or programs.
  • Ability to oversee HSE programs and initiatives.
  • Comprehensive understanding of industry-specific safety regulations and standards.
  • Experience with safety audits, inspections, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in HSE management software.
  • Experience developing and delivering HSE training programs.
  • Strong attention to detail and leadership capabilities with high ethical standards.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
