Job Title: Ocean Freight Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Ocean Freight Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Delmar International Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of ocean freight, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth logistics operations
  • Monitor the movement of supplies and materials between departments
  • Perform routine clerical duties, including data entry and record-keeping
  • Prepare and submit reports on logistics operations and performance
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Communicate with ships, aircraft, and other remote operations to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Follow up on issues with work orders and keep track of shipments
  • Knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations and practices, as well as highway trucking and associated rules and regulations
  • Organize and maintain inventory, and plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics of the organization
  • Utilize database software, electronic mail, spreadsheet, MS Outlook, Internet, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Windows, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and MS Office to perform job duties

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in logistics or a related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, and attention to detail
  • Client focus, organized, reliable, team player, accurate, analytical, and proactive
