Job Title: Ocean Freight Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Ocean Freight Coordinator to join our team at Delmar International Inc.

Job Summary:

The Ocean Freight Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods and supplies between departments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth logistics operations
  • Monitor the movement of supplies and materials between departments, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Perform routine clerical duties, including data entry and report preparation
  • Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Communicate with ships, aircraft, and other remote operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery
  • Follow up on issues with work orders and keep track of shipments
  • Knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations and practices, as well as highway trucking and associated rules and regulations
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
  • Plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics of the organization, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as logistics or supply chain management
  • 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in freight forwarding or logistics
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of database software, electronic mail, spreadsheet, and MS Office
