Job Summary:

Ainsworth is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Apprentice to join our team in Sudbury. As a key member of our team, you will assist Journeyman on Sheetmetal project and installation work, ensuring high-quality results and meeting customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Journeyman on Sheetmetal project and installation work.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineered drawings, and other technical documents.
  • Safely lift 50lbs and perform other physical tasks as required.
  • Contribute to shop and office cleaning, equipment and furniture moving, and other tasks as needed.
  • Assist with site cleanup and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Pick up and deliver materials and equipment as required.

Requirements:

  • Ontario Journeyman credentials or Ontario indentured apprentice only.
  • Experience with ductwork, venting, appliance installations, and other related tasks.
  • Furnace installation experience is an asset.
  • Ability to work with Sheet Metal and perform tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Heavy lifting may be required.
  • Must be able to perform work with a high degree of safety.
  • Positive attitude and ability to communicate with customers professionally.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass security clearance.
