Key Responsibilities- Project Planning and Management: Develop and implement project plans, including setting goals, objectives, and timelines.
- Employee Management: Supervise and manage a team of employees, including recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Budgeting and Financial Management: Plan, administer, and control budgets for projects, contracts, equipment, and supplies.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with program delivery, quality, people, and budgets.
- Communication and Reporting: Develop and present detailed reports, briefing notes, and presentations to senior management, elected officials, and government representatives.
- Program Development and Evaluation: Assist in the development, implementation, and growth of new programs, and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with direct reports to identify ways to improve program effectiveness and implement viable ideas.
- Conflict Resolution: Resolve complex conflicts that arise among direct reports and/or others.
- Education: A post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a similar/comparable role or 3-5 years of experience in the Métis Nation of Ontario with demonstrated growth and potential to fulfill the role.
- Skills: Strong project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge: Significant knowledge of Métis and/or Indigenous policy issues and principles, or a demonstrated ability to quickly acquire knowledge.
- Métis Citizenship: Meet the requirements for Métis Nation of Ontario Citizenship as per the Métis Nation of Ontario Bylaws and be in good standing.
- Leadership Experience: Completion of a supervisory or leadership course or certificate.
- Financial Management: Demonstrated ability to effectively maintain financial records and manage project budgets.
