About the Role

The Elevator Mechanic serves as the primary expert for the installation and service work of RAM Elevator and Lifts' product lines. This individual oversees Technicians, aids in their professional development, and delivers superior customer service when interacting with customers. The Elevator Mechanic advises customers on needed and proactive service offerings for installed products. This role requires travel to customer sites in local and other regions, with leadership and collaboration being key qualities for success.

Responsibilities

  • Residential elevator and commercial lift installation, inspections, and service work
  • Oversee the development of Technicians
  • Determine the need for and perform major overhaul or replacement of defective equipment
  • Repair work as needed
  • Provide excellent on-site customer service when interacting with contractors and customers
  • Travel to customer sites in Ontario
  • Actively promote preventative maintenance plans
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement and work with management to implement

Qualifications

  • Clear criminal background check
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in elevator and lift service and maintenance
  • TSSA EMD A license required
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs multiple times a day
  • Familiarity with relevant elevator code (CSA B44-13, CSA B355-09, etc.)
  • Good mechanical skills
  • Self-starter
  • Due diligence and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools
  • Leadership and ability to mentor others
  • Full Class 5 driver's license
  • Experience towing a trailer is an asset
  • Clear driver's abstract
  • Valid CSTS, First Aid, Fall protection training, and WHMIS

Job Details

  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Salary: $ per hour

  • Schedule: 8 hour shift, day shift, Monday to Friday
