**Job Title:** Caregiver Assistant

**Salary:** $25-$35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

**Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Caregiver Assistant to join our team at Extendicare Port Hope Home in Port Hope, ON. As a Caregiver Assistant, you will provide direct care to residents in accordance with policies, procedures, and work routines.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with mobility, feeding, bathing, toileting, and personal grooming
  • Encourage resident participation in activities and programs
  • Provide emotional and social support to residents and families

Requirements:

  • PSW certification
  • Able to perform physical tasks and duties, including frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
  • Compassion, professionalism, and respect
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
