We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a correctional facility setting. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting medical assessments, and developing treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough medical assessments and develop treatment plans for patients
- Provide education and counseling to patients on health-related topics
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures
- Prescribe medications and treatments as needed
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the province/territory of work
- Experience working in a correctional facility or similar setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
