**Job Description:**
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Burnaby, B.C. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary professionals to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness.
**Key Responsibilities:**- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' functional capacity, occupational performance status, and environmental supports using standardized tools and frameworks.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized rehabilitation plans in collaboration with clients, their support systems, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Provide direct individual and group intervention to support clients in achieving their goals, including promoting independence, self-esteem, and overall well-being.
- Collaborate with community-based agencies to facilitate effective entry and participation in life skills, education, employment, and leisure programs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other members of the healthcare team and community agencies to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
- Two years' recent experience working with psychiatric clients in an acute or community psychiatric setting.
- Current full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
- Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists - British Columbia (CAOT-BC).
- Valid B.C. Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business use.
