**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Burnaby, B.C. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary professionals to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  1. Conduct thorough assessments of clients' functional capacity, occupational performance status, and environmental supports using standardized tools and frameworks.
  2. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized rehabilitation plans in collaboration with clients, their support systems, and interdisciplinary team members.
  3. Provide direct individual and group intervention to support clients in achieving their goals, including promoting independence, self-esteem, and overall well-being.
  4. Collaborate with community-based agencies to facilitate effective entry and participation in life skills, education, employment, and leisure programs.
  5. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other members of the healthcare team and community agencies to ensure seamless service delivery.
**Requirements:**
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
  • Two years' recent experience working with psychiatric clients in an acute or community psychiatric setting.
  • Current full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
  • Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists - British Columbia (CAOT-BC).
  • Valid B.C. Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business use.
