About Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a collaborative and effective communicator with high-level experience in representation, negotiation, training, coaching, and mentoring. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Canadian emergency management standards and best practices, as well as industry regulations locally, provincially, nationally, and internationally.

Key Qualifications:

  • Graduate Diploma preferably in disaster and emergency management or equivalent is preferred;
  • Completion of Incident Command System (ICS) 100, 200, 300 level training; instructor level preferred;
  • Demonstration of continued professional development a strong asset;
  • Proven leader and facilitator with experience developing and implementing emergency response and continuity management plans;
  • Three plus years of related knowledge and experience working in various emergency management roles;
  • Previous experience in emergency response roles and activities in industrial, marine, transportation, and oil and gas industries is an asset.
