Carpenter Job Description

Kiwi Constructors Ltd. is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts and construct buildings, using measuring tools and following building codes.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create structures and fixtures.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on carpentry techniques and best practices.
Requirements:
  • 3 years of experience in carpentry or a related trade.
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work at heights, in dusty environments, and with heavy loads.
  • Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills.
  • Accurate and reliable, with a strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Carpenter Trade Certification.
  • Working at heights training.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Propane in Construction Record of Training.
  • Carpenter Red Seal Certificate.
