Job Title: Registered Nurse, Surgical Services

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Surgical Services department at Fraser Health. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients recovering from anaesthetics in the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess post-anaesthetic patients and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and monitoring patient condition.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing.
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • One year's recent relevant clinical nursing experience in the designated clinical area.
