Surgical Services Registered Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Surgical Services department at Fraser Health. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients recovering from anaesthetics in the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess post-anaesthetic patients and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and monitoring patient condition.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- One year's recent relevant clinical nursing experience in the designated clinical area.
