Job Overview

Procor Limited, a leading provider of railcar repair solutions, is seeking skilled Tank Car Repair Specialists to join our team at our Oakville Repair Facility. With over 30,500 special purpose tank and freight cars in our fleet, we require dedicated professionals to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our vehicles.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to tank car repairs, including but not limited to:

• Brake tests and general running repairs
• Tank car cleaning and re-qualification
• Jacking and switching of railcars
• Confined space entry and top fittings modifications
• Adhering to health and safety standards, including the Responsible Care policy

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tank cars
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues
- Utilize various tools and equipment to complete tasks efficiently
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless operations

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Experience with tank car repair and cleaning
• Ability to pass a four-position fillet weld test: Vertical 3G, Horizontal 2G, Overhead 4G, and (plate thickness: 1/8 inch)
• WHMIS training and experience dealing with hazardous commodities
• NDT such as PLI, MPI, UTT, BLT would be an asset
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Valid driver's license
