About the Role

The Cloud Solutions Architect role must specialize in Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will participate in the design of high-performance, reliable, resilient, economical, and secure solutions to ensure successful deployments. They will make recommendations to ensure that the architecture meets the business needs.

Job Description

As a Cloud Solutions Architect at CB Canada, you will be responsible for:

  • Owning continuous delivery framework and focusing on automation
  • Provisioning and administering infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service environments using best practices in Microsoft Azure
  • Architecting, designing, deploying, maintaining, and leading the implementation of cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and underlying technologies
  • Reviewing, evaluating, specifying, designing, maintaining, and documenting system architecture, system configuration, system monitoring, and system performance monitoring
  • Processing and completing simultaneous projects in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Supporting always-available cloud-based software as a service (SaaS) applications
  • Making decisions on problem resolutions in critical downtime situations when escalation is impractical
  • Creating, updating, and sharing implementation, infrastructure, and architectural designs with the organization
  • Developing clear, concise installation, configuration procedures, runbooks, and contributing to the maintenance of operational standards
  • Creating automated approaches and scripts for system administration tasks where possible and appropriate
  • Analyzing security requirements and recommending appropriate solutions
  • Implementing security measures in all technical activities to limit unauthorized access/use
  • Providing advanced systems and intermediate network support as requested as part of troubleshooting analysis
  • Participating in design sessions with the team and architects
  • Creating technical documentation, diagrams, and presentations

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud services and related controls
  • Understanding of capacity management and right-sizing
  • Experience with scripting languages and automation
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and implementing them to DevOps practices
  • 4-5 years of experience working in cloud architecture, implementation, and/or administration roles
  • Automation and configuration management tools like Azure native tools – deployment manager
  • Azure Policies
  • Azure SKD/API tools

Salary Range

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
