About the Role

GEMTEC Consulting Engineers & Scientists Limited is a leading firm in the field of geotechnical engineering, with a strong presence in Atlantic Canada and Ontario. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team as a Project Lead.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead geotechnical projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, scientists, and project managers, to deliver complex projects.
  • Develop and implement geotechnical design solutions for roads, bridges, dams, buildings, tunneling, and other infrastructure projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate staff.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to business development and client relationship management.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience in geotechnical engineering.
  • Proven track record of leading complex projects and delivering results.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Strong technical expertise in geotechnical design, analysis, and testing.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software applications, such as Slope/W, Seep/W, Sigma/W, Settle3D, FLAC, PLAXIS, or similar.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Canada and eligible for registration with PEO.
