Job Overview

Giant Tiger Store Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Supervisor to join our team at Giant Tiger. As a Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service, overseeing day-to-day operations, and training and communicating policies and procedures to associates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a high level of customer service in assigned departments
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including inventory management and merchandising
  • Train and communicate policies and procedures to associates
  • Complete ordering and replenishment of merchandise
  • Manage a team within assigned departments, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and execution of the GT System
  • Provide input to the Store Owner/Manager on scheduling and quantification
  • Resolve customer complaints quickly and professionally

Requirements:

  • Proven motivator/team leader
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills
  • Strong merchandising and analytical skills
  • 1-3 years retail management experience or equivalent Giant Tiger experience as a keyholder

Physical Demands:

  • Stand and/or walk
  • Bend, twist, and squat
  • Lift and/or move up to 18 kg (40 lbs.)
  • Perform tasks involving firm grasping
  • Perform repetitive tasks requiring a range of hand motions
  • Reach above shoulder height and below waist level

  • Ensure health and safety policies and guidelines are followed
  • Ensure Loss prevention best practices are followed
  • Ensure compliance of all policies when selling Tobacco and Lottery
