Job Description

As an Aerospace Support Specialist at Capgemini, you will be part of a specialized group within the engineering team. Your primary responsibility will be to support a commercial aircraft program in the capacity of Design Engineer specialist for In-service support.

This role involves assessing structural damage to aircraft, responding to grounded situations and customer engineering requests, investigating causes of in-service problems, and resolving source failures. You will also propose repair solutions that align with sector regulations and customer requirements.

You will work closely with the stress department and other specialists such as Aero, Materials & Processes. Your duties will include preparing design reports in English for certification purposes, designing generic repairs for metallic and composite structures, and participating in the design and support of structural modifications.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering and at least five years of proven experience in repairs for the aerospace industry (In-service, MAP/MRB). You should also have good knowledge of CATIA V5 (preferably R19) and Enovia, as well as excellent knowledge of aircraft structure.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in repairs for the aerospace industry (In-service, MAP/MRB)
  • Good knowledge of CATIA V5 (preferably R19) and Enovia
