Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Bimbo Bakeries USA. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring the highest quality products are produced while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of production employees, providing guidance and coaching to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Develop and implement production schedules and plans to meet customer demands and production targets.
  • Monitor and control production costs, ensuring they are within budget and making adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and improve overall efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Develop and implement training programs to improve employee skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • Relevant post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Previous experience in a unionized food, dairy, beverage, or packaged goods industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Knowledge of good labour/management practices, including progressive discipline and positive reinforcement techniques.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to work a 24-hour, 7-day operation schedule.
