Job Title: Early Childhood Education Worker

Ccaa Infant and Toddler Child Care Centre is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Education Worker to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Education Worker to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and community service providers, and have a strong commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Child Abuse Registry check.
  • Medical exam.
  • Public transportation is available.
  • Repetitive tasks.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Efficient interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral communication.
  • Reliability.
  • Team player.
  • Values and ethics.
Experience:
  • Experience an asset.
  • Permanent position.
  • 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Language of work: English.
