About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Memorial Cafe. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
  • Keep records of food quantities used.
  • Package take-out food and portion and wrap foods for service.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables.
  • Take customers' orders and receive, unpack, and store supplies.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sharpen kitchen knives.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work under pressure. You will be standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads.
