About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at TechWest Inc. as a Precision Fabrication Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for computing dimensions and tolerances of machine parts, measuring and laying out work pieces, and reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dimensional Analysis: Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Workpiece Preparation: Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly, ensuring proper fit and finish.
  • Engineering Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to understand design specifications and requirements.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Repair machine tools and parts, and maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Setup and Operation: Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-quality parts and products.
  • Quality Control: Verify dimensions of parts and products using precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Physical Demands: Stand for extended periods, lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in CNC machining or a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
