CNC Machinist Job Description

At TechWest Inc., we are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating computer-controlled machine tools to produce precision parts and components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts using advanced mathematical calculations.
  • Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to understand production requirements.
  • Repair and maintain machine tools and parts, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Set up and adjust production machinery and tools, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments, ensuring accurate measurements and quality control.
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools, following established procedures and protocols.
  • Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physically demanding role requiring standing for extended periods and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a team environment.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in CNC machining or a related field.
  • Permanent employment with a competitive salary and benefits package.
  • English language proficiency and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
  • 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work overtime as required.
