Elby Professional Recruitment Inc is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Operations Manager to join their team in the Mount Forest area.

Job Overview

This individual will report into the Chief Financial Officer and lead a team of 4, overseeing the accounting department and assisting with budgeting, preparing financial statements, and working on various reports, analysis, and costing.

Please note that this position requires you to be located in Ontario and be available to work on-site.

What We Offer

A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement savings options.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, coach, and mentor the accounting team to ensure optimal performance and growth.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to drive business decision-making.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual budget-to-actual schedules, and conduct analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee accounting operations, capital asset tracking, inventory control, and general accounting duties to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
  • Develop and implement effective cash flow management strategies to optimize liquidity.
  • Review payroll processing and accounting entries to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with the CFO on special projects and process improvements to drive operational excellence.
Requirements
  • CPA designation preferred or currently enrolled in a CPA program.
  • At least 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience with implementing processes and improving operational efficiency.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills to analyze data and create reports.
